Our dedicated, temperature-controlled inspection facility is equipped with cutting-edge 5-axis and 3-axis CMM technology, allowing us to achieve the highest levels of precision and repeatability. Backed by a dedicated inspector with over 35 years of experience, we ensure that every component meets AS 9100 standards and exceeds customer expectations.
Our inspection capabilities include:

5-Axis CMM Precision Measurement – Our Mitutoyo CRYSTA-Apex V7106, housed in a climate-controlled environment, guarantees micron accuracy, ensuring critical dimensions are validated to the highest aerospace and defence standards.

Workshop-Based 3-Axis CMM Inspection – Our two Aberlink Extol CMMs provide real-time, in-process verification on the shop floor, reducing inspection bottlenecks and ensuring efficiency without compromising quality.

Renishaw In-Process Probing – Integrated into our CNC machining centers, Renishaw probes allow us to perform automated, in-cycle inspections, ensuring parts remain within tolerance throughout the machining process.

Surface Roughness & Hand Tool Measurement – We exclusively use Mitutoyo hand tools and a Mitutoyo Surftest SJ-210 to ensure surface finish compliance and precision measurement consistency.

At Cwm Engineering, we have the capacity and flexibility to meet your development and production deadlines, ensuring high-quality components are delivered on time and in the required quantities. All of our machining services—except for metal finishing and heat treatment—are carried out in-house at our purpose-built facility in Cross Hands, South Wales, UK.
